why would a company want to change its name? shouldn't it rather focus on maximising returns for investors?

Just shows bad management, as if it will do anything to change the results...Maybe people will suddenly forget its apparently bad past....shame!

Bad management dit is verseker. Die naamsverandering is totaal onnodig. Verder is die alewige "cautionary statements" al vervelig. Daar gebeur maar bitter min en 'n mens hoor niks. Nie 'n goeie aandeel nie. Moet nie eers met 'n 'tang daaraan raak nie'. Bad news. Lets focus on more interesting shares. This one is bad. Real bad.

Standard Securities are punting it as a strong buy...??? It has fallen 10% in two days !!!

true, standard bank punted arq. maybe sb's analysts wanted to dump their shares -- or they are inept. i guess the share can't go much lower (famous last words), so hold it until the world economy and the platinum price recover.
