Someone dumped 4 million shares today at 7% below opening price. Down 3.5% yesterday. No news on the wires. Will that emerge tomorrow?

This is related to the discussion from yesterday. Unless you were watching in real time, or have a system that records this, you have no way of knowing if this was a (presumably) institutional sale which took out pre-existing (random) bids or hit a bid that was placed for this trade i.e. "moving" shares.

The question I would angle to that is how would institutional action play out on the small caps? Blue chips OK I understand the move in volume etc as discussed but are institutionals interested in small caps to as much a degree?

There is quite a bit of institutional holding in this small cap.

As an indicator, notice the announcement yesterday of 3 new appointments at StanLib. One of these is Shawn Stockigt as Small and Mid caps fund manager - he's a well known small and mid caps specialist...

ya Shawn is great, I get him on my show as often as possible, he really gets the small cap space ... wonder if he is replacing Lance Krowitz ?
