You can try looking at preference shares, they are similar to bonds.
But alternatively its probably better to use this time to figure out which shares to buy (goto www.justonelap.com) and wait for a nice correction to get into those shares.

Look at Tools - Company info - Dividents Payable for a list of shares with Last day to trade , amount per share , etc.

Do nothing.They pay it all by themselves,whether low or high %.Some pay none.
