The spate of mining rights being attacked by govt,is cause for concern. Nothing worse for investor sentiment (particularly foreign) to have this kind of nonsense from govt.

or are the mining companies simple messing up their rights ?? apart from the KIO/ACL issue which was acl meesing up ..

What a mess. Lonmin / ACL / CZA etc. "Mining Right Grab" - Government Buddies behind this! R/$ will react sooner or later. R10/$ again?

Not forgetting of course that ACL hold 16% of CZA.The destruction of shareholder value at ACL has been frightening.

Not unexpectedly the Minister of mining and minerals has rejected Sishens appeal against the granting of ACL's 21% right to Imperial crown trading.Obviously she's getting a slice of the R800,000 pie.
