Rates are slowly but surely starting to have an effect on the credit Spending of consumers, I think the Higher rates will hit other sectors harder eg. Property...

here's the rub... current account... resource exports... and 'smart' 1st world investors and stoopid 1st world consumers. We gonna pay the price for their stoopidness. If not recession, then depression. But on the happy side... opportunity if u have cash
