sure you didn't mix up your 2's and 3's there? :) just kidding. but chances of it testing 25000 in the near future is far more likely than 35000 imo, especially if we're heading down the double dip recession path which seems to be being mentioned more these days. looks to be heading back down to test support @ ~27100? i'd play it from there once it's bounced or broken. as to the 35000 levels, it first has to break the ~34000 resistance level which it touched back in jan and april, might be a while? just my view. peace

Hi Simon , the reason for this question is that in Feb 2010 almost all resource traders who were interviewed by CNBC Africa tipped or speculated that AGL will reach 480 by second half of this year, this went on for about a week , and actually the share tested the 340 mark, however,as the share was retreating, it was down and out, nobody wanted to talk about the share? is CNBC Africa's views worth our while or we can spend our afternoons in the pub ?

There will always be people stating a share will rise, and others that it will fall. This is why you have bids and offers, and the price reflects the balanced at that time. You have to find your own path.

more thorts .. firstly the people on bubble vision have no better a crystal ball then anybody else .. sure they suupposed to be experts, but they do not know the future ..
secondly, what of your bias .. I know that there were commentators not as bullish on AGL, thing is we let our bias get in the way in that we only listen/believe/remember the commentators who are on our 'side' ..

The problem is - for Anglo to reach those levels the TOPI will have to move up hugely. (BETA, relative scale to sector metrics and all of that.) So you are really making a call on overall market sentiment. Far easier to look for moves of this scale in the small to medium cap environment. Anglo is a far better trading stock than the small to mids for the most part, though!

Well. I'm up for the challenge. Do you expect all listed companies producing canned goods to go up and down together? Even though one produces canned tuna and another baked beans? Even if two companies produce canned baked beans they may have different costing structures or marketing campaigns which may result in one outperforming another. There's an answer.
