What types of Savings and Investment accounts can I open via the app?

You are now able to open Savings and Investment accounts directly from the smartphone and tablet banking app.

 

Choose between two Savings accounts (PureSave and MarketLink) and four Investment accounts (Fixed Deposit, Call Deposit, Call Account, Notice Deposit).

 

  • PureSave offers an easy means to start saving with Standard Bank. Save what you can - and gain instant access to your money when you need it
  • Call Deposit is an investment account that earns you competitive interest rates while granting immediate access to your invested funds.
  • MarketLink is a savings account that offers the flexibility of a transaction acount in addition to competitive interest rates
  • A Notice Deposit is a savings account that earns higher interest while requiring 32 days' notice before making a withdrawal.
  • A Fixed Deposit offers an easy means to invest a sum of R 10 000 or more for a fixed term. No withdrawals or additional deposits may be made during the investment term.
  • MoneyMarket Call Account is an investment account that offers highly competitive interest rates. A R 250 000 opening deposit and R 100 000 minimum balance is required.
  • AccessSave is a savings account with a 7-day notice period - and bonus interest when you reach your savings target within an agreed period.

How do i open pure save account

Hello @Modesteng2000,

 

Please be advised that you are able to open a Pure Save account on Internet Banking following these steps;

 

  • Log onto the Internet banking and click on Save & Invest at the top of your screen display,
  •  Click on Browse,
  • Under the heading 'Access you money now', look for the savings account you require (that is PureSave Savings in this case) click on 'Get Account' and follow the steps.
