Fraud was committed on my account. Why didn't Standard Bank do anything to stop the thieves!          

We assure you we're doing everything possible to educate our customers about the dangers of phishing attempts, card skimming and the like. Unfortunately, such scams occur around the world. This is a real risk we need to work together with our customers to combat. There are several traditional preventative security measures that have been adopted over the years in combating ATM fraud. Fraudsters have however evolved and have created more sophisticated and high tech skimming devices that bypass such prevention. At Standard Bank, we are serious about protecting our customer’s interests and we continuously strive to apply the most appropriate security features.

Please be advised that you will need to visit your nearest branch with your ID booklet/Passport in order to be assisted with updating your pin. Please also remember to have your bank card with you.
