En passant. ( A generalisation admttedly) : given that Gigabite is looking for money ( read taxes) , and that a "derived" tax like CGT is "levered" by the inclusion rate, whereas a dividend tax is a directly charged flat tax rate,  everything points towards the differential between CGT and DWT remaining in "favour " of CGT.

Ergo - Who wants a divvie ... when a sale will be taxed at a lower rate - and that of course ignores the pathetic yearly exemption...which I have to also admit , because it exists will be a pressure point for relief= increase..
