Delisted shares

When a share is delisted, how can one go about getting proof that you have shares in that company. Say hypothetically speaking, you have someone that wants to buy those unlisted shares, what do you use as proof?

CIPRO keeps records - you can view the relevant company register during their office hours; alternatively - register with them - or use one of their agents - to access info online anytime. You can also request certain information directly from the company itself (via the company secretary) which they are obliged to provide you - subject to a nominal, discretionary, prescribed fee

Contact the company's share transfer secretary who will furnish a copy of the share certificate and / or confirm shares held in your name
