Latest is that the Oakbay Investments denies any involvement with buying UBank, marking it as "speculative" and reporting as being with "several significant untruths and misunderstandings". Seemingly media reports picked up on Oakbay being interested in buying UBank a couple of years ago (2014), but only now comes afore with the hoo-haa based on misunderstanding (??) that Oakbay actually voluntarely walked away from a possible deal. It is also stated that no Gupta family member was involved in the then negotiations - which is then the untruth arising from media reports.
