So SAB has been propping up the ALSH. Now, if AB Bev takes over SAB, will SAB still be listed on the JSE? If not; will the ALSH index give back all the gains made due to the SAB miller take over?

ABInbev indicated they would maintain a listing on the JSE

Inbev may list on JSE but unlikely to meet local holding requirements to get into indices (as with glencore).
The index doesn't give back the gains with SAB gone, rather the old SAB points are allocated to the other stocks

Simon, do you think this will have any material impact on the Satrix 40 or Indi? Take out one of the biggest shares, move another smaller one in....could it be very marginally more volatile? Or a non-issue?

So , more important, the offer is now 43.50GBP. At 20.49, that is about R891.00(about). SAB today R807....
