So I have some cash that I may or may not need in 6 months time (dependant on a few things). Any recommendations for a share to buy and hold for at least the next 6 months or longer?

InvestOne, Your question implies that you want to trade for 6months (even if you hold) I know it is not what you want hear, but I would advise you to just stay away, especially this short term (you implied you may or may not need the money) - so many things can go wrong and the time span is just not enough to make it up if you loose money.
