I dumped my Easysoft Market Master trading software a few years ago as I don't have much time to use it, so I cut expenses. I now feel that I would have got out of a few bad trades on time if I still had it. Please suggest what would be a reasonably priced charting software package. It doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles.

It depends what you want from it.
For example Amibroker + Sharenet package is quite cheap, I quite like Amibroker but you have to import data every day.
Metatrader is the same as Amibroker but more expensive.
Other options are Saxos charts or IGs charts but you have to be a client.
SBK has charting with EasyTrader (which cost R100? per month) but its extremely limited.

Metatrader is nice but you wont see SA shares on it.
How to trade is free and has some functionality, as well as sharenets site, but you have to build your chart each time.

So it all depends what you want from it.

Should trader Metastocks not Metatrader.
Metatrader is usually free.

Ive tried it, biggest load of rubbish ever.
You arent allowed to add your own indicators, cant write any scripts on it and it doesnt allow for algorithms.

In all honesty they had better software in USA in the 1980s
