Applied for a credit card online

I applied for a credit card online and yesterday I found out it was approved however I wanted to get a virtual card to make online purchases but then found out that the card will be delivered to my nearest branch in 5 to 7 work days. Why am I not able to get a virtual card as well that I can use in the meantime?
