I agree, not being able to change the reference while making a payment is a huge headache. I don't Understand the silence from Standard Bank regarding this. They don't seem to realise that this is a major problem. I have discussed this with many people and they all agree with this change in the APP not being acceptable, yet Standard Bank is not doing anything about it. It is a major problem having to edit the beneficiary's profile before you make each payment instead of typing it in as you pay. I also don't like the fact that I can no longer change the beneficiary's monthly limit on my cell phone anymore.
