It's amazing how quickly bears can grow horns, and what's even more amazing is how quickly they forget what their reasoning was when they were bearish, schizophrenic mentality, they forget what garbage they said and are too afraid to say anything against the trend, especially those fund managers who act like sheep on TV programs not willing to stick their neck out. Kio suddenly back over $60 share price should be over R200. Those who thought gold was a barbaric relic are suddenly falling over their feet trying to buy it. LOL

I have to admit, I've not read the Kumba report. I just got the cost guidance at $40/tonne from articles. Thanks for the info... I need to go through the report. But if they're managing costs at around $30, that would mean it still makes sense for all the large low cost suppliers to keep increasing supply and push out as many high-cost suppliers as possible. So, there's a very real possibility that the price could drop to the $30 range? Personally, if I was Vale or BHP producing at $15/tonne I would keep feeding the glut until the price was even less than $15 and I was the only supplier! NULL Public Archive

While its true to say that risk is found in any situation - even in Us Treasury Bonds - as regards default this is deflecting from the central issue. The question remains - what are you buying ? answer : a stream of future earnings about which you have views - at the one end optimistic - and the converse at the other end. So the price you pay should ( if you are not "I am feeling lucky today" ) contain a margin of risk safety ( see you can put those two words together ) as regards expectations on future earnings. Ergo: price is not as important as risk. You can pay next to nothing for a share and its still risky - ditto the reverse.. you can pay a lot for a share where there is still a good margin of risk - an example would be Capitec going forward - or Naspers =10 cent.... But while Anglo is cheap and the earnings risk is there -- its in a volatile market where prices of commodity shares are basically being hammered so wait till the dust clears - and there is a reasonable case to argue that it will then still be cheap..for all the wrong reasons. Oops! - hang on I think its time to make another cup of real tea - and see what the leaves are saying.. or maybe they won't say anything at all?

Key support level to watch is at R18.26. price range between R16.84 to R18.26. A close above R19.60 could take this stock to a price level of R20-R22.50. Fundamental company revenue is under pressure from flat sales and declining margins. High interest rate environment is going to place strain on the company cash flow position as the company is highly geared. I will stay away from this stock.

well, it firstly have to be significant rates increases. It wont happen just with one increase, but over time, say 18 months or so, until the last quarter of 2015, my guess. Interest rates will make company profits go down, increase the return on money markets ect. And make cfd's more expensive !! lol. The tide will turn.

Alternatively we can wait until end of July or so as prices have a tendecy of dropping in June and only climb in August or even September so I strongly think this is a tenbagger. Well most small caps start climbing significantly after 7 years or so. The sector might be strongly regulated (same as insurance and financial services) but profits are still to be made here. Lots of profits can be made as public sector health care is gabbage and there is a reasonable climb in middle class (the target market in this company).
