Providing water solutions to South Africa
Standard Bank Team
Super Contributor

Water is the source of life and without access to water it is impossible for communities to thrive. In South Africa, Rand Water is the leader in providing water solutions to most of the country. At Standard Bank Group, we’re happy to now partner with Rand Water to provide it and its subsidiaries full transactional banking as well as other multiple solutions.

Rand Water has over 3 056km of pipeline that serves metropolitan municipalities, local municipalities, mines and industries. It supplies, on average, 3 653-million litres of potable water to more than 11-million people in South Africa’s Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State and North West provinces.

Its partnership with Standard Bank Group means that Rand Water’s clients can now make payments via Standard Bank South Africa’s branches or self-service channels. Rand Water will provide further details about this on its invoices.

Just as Standard Bank Group puts sustainable business practices at the top of its agenda, so we demand this of our corporate clients. Besides ensuring a high quality of potable water, Rand Water places emphasis on responsible waste management and also rehabilitation of wetlands endangered by human interference. For more about these, go to www.randwater.co.za.

Standard Bank Group’s offers a broad range of corporate and investment banking services throughout Africa. Read all about these services at www.standardbank.com/cib.
