The R1 million business challenge to make big dreams a reality

Standard Bank is passionate about is growing South African entrepreneurial spirit by guiding and motivating aspirational small businesses owners, to help create economic change.

We have partnered with SABC 3 to bring South Africans an exciting new reality TV series, “Think Big - Building Business Champions” (Think Big).

Think Big is a ten-week series that premieres on 17 July at 21h30 that will showcase the vital role that small business play in our economy.

The series will profile 12 selected entrepreneurs that will battle it out for the R1 million towards their business dream.

Over the 10 weeks period, the winning entrepreneur will have shown their passion, energy, skills and their business acumen needed to contribute to South Africa's economic growth.

To get to the big prize the entrepreneurs, operating both big and small companies, will receive mentorship from experts from several of South Africa’s leading captains of business and industry such as Claire Busetti, Director at Venture Capital and Makho Ngcobo, Chief Executive, Contento Group.

Another six contestants will walk away with cash injections into their businesses to the value of R100 000 each. This will enable them to invest in key businesses requirements - to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams.

The show will be repeated on Sundays at 16h30 pm and you’ll also have access to behind-the-scenes footage, in-depth advice from the “board” and practical tools on our business portal, BizConnect.
