Hi HG - a question- you often use the word gap - like today you said no gap what does it mean? is it the price after the auction-ie- 8.30 to 8.35 / or the price change from yesterdays close which was 25852?

For the morning gap, I used the price change from yesterdays close. Usually, the first few minutes after 8:30 gives an indication of a gap or not. Sometimes there is a small gap but thats usually not worth trading.

how many pts will be a significant gap

Thats depends on your level of risk. On a day when I'm feeling brave, I'll chance a 50-100 point gap. Simons gap trading systems uses 150-200 or more points.
