absolutely, rembember that a lot of the top40 companies are dual listed. Rand weakening means adjustment upwards to match the offshore listed exchanges. It is the rand strengthening that has been holding back the JSE rally, in comparison to the ftse & wall street, IMO

HAR, ANG, GFI have all retraced to the 50% FIB and all above 4 % today the start of a new leg mabey ??

Hennie, maybe, but I see no evidence to suggest that gold is reversing its shortterm downtrend. Possibly these shares are just reacting to general market sentiment. USD index keeps falling, which is good news for gold, but markets are rallying, which is bad news. So i am reverting to fundamentals - GOLD has no real demand outside of ETF's, so I am betting on investors unwinding their positions in the short to medium term. Please, this is all IMO!!!
