Mid cap single stock futures

Why are most of the mid cap SSFs suspended? Almost all the ones I wanted to go for have been suspended and one isn't allowed to take up new positions in them.

All must go through JSE now and limited to ones with high volume. This does not apply to CFD's, structured a little different from SSF, but requiring very similar margins.
