Anyone out there got comments, were the only market on the rise this week. Is this only due to our mining sector and if so with gold and oil on the decline are we poised for a drop tomorrow??????

Gold is knocking on $1000 and looks like it will continue to move up, i thought $600 was high. South Africa is in a great position having all these mines that produce valuable products , gold , platinum ,coal ,Uranium etc. This will keep our economy steady in the years ahead. ----- This is important .The sector that performed well on the LSE and China's Shanghai also Hong Kong's Hang Seng was "Industrial metals". Companies that process the raw metal ores into the next stage smelting and rolling and sheet metal and steel rods Like ArcelorMittal. South Africa needs more second tier manufacturing that transforms ore to its next stage. It is not a manufacturing process that requires hi tech or special skills. Just a lot of coal energy.
