Setting up trailing stoplosses for my banking shares (not sbk). I set them on 2 % for FSR, RMB and 3% for IPL and NEDBANK. Is it tight enough or to leniant? Please share your strategy regarding trailing stoplosses.

I find that some smart traders that want to buy will drop the price they are prepared to pay usually in the morning,to catch those stops-losses...I prefer to put an ALERT on shares and derivitives ,then one can sell if it is a genuine decline or not if it is a reverse spike. There are times when the price falls rapidly, right pass the stop-loss,so it is good to have an alert in place as well.Only my opinion.
