I guess you failed to see the profits Berkshire Hathaway made off their Goldman Sachs investment over the past year or so? Buffett has proven that his strategies work even during these bad times, just wait for the years to come... no need for pension... his logic still reins supreme!

Franschua, i have a similar view on geared instruments, thats why my favorate investment is in banks, i own several, SBK, RMH, CPI and JPM in USA - over time these guys profit tremendously off their innovative products and basic banking services... no need to speculate on high risks, just invest and get the money the others loose over time...

HeHe,loser!By the way,Simon, thanks for finally revealing the 10% statistic. That's more or less what I've been estimating for months but this is the first time i've seen you admit it.I think that should be permanently displayed on your home page. That basically proves that the odds are stacked against us and in favour of the issuer.

and it doesn't prove which way the odds are stacked, or by how much .. it proves that trading is not a walk in the park, but we can more reliable prove that by the lack of massively fancy cars on the roads ..

Say a successful farmer; "You can make a success of everything if you do the right things." Finding out what the right things to do are to be a first step here.

Just an observation from all this talk about warrants,CFD's etc. First off I'm not to clued up on all these products, and the up and downsides, but I've found it easier to do swing trading.I closely monitor price movements of selected stocks, and buy on oversold situations, offloading on the upward recovery.Certain stocks have greater fall and recovery patterns ,but caution must be exercised. Done well this year on this basis (excluding some Construction stocks I was wrong about)The market has been condusive to price swings over the past 18 months, but will be less so in a fiming Bull trend. Any other thoughts on swing trading ?
