Ruling vs Offer price

Hi there Can someone please assist? Why is there sometimes a difference between the ruling price and offer price? Seems like the buy and sell is based on the offer price always if market price is chosen. So should I look at the offer price instead of the ruling price? Is it a good or bad thing if they differ significantly?

I always thought that the ruling price is the latest sale price, it could be at the bid price, the offer price or anywhere in between and even outside if the bids and offers have changed after the last sale.

here's something you dont see everyday: PAN ruling 108, offer 108, bid 108.

Why is there a difference to begin with? Especially on AltX shares? However if you look at IMP,its the same.Is it that these AltX shares work differently on supply and demand?

Sellers want a higher price (higer bid price) while buyers want a lower price (offer price). the last traded price should normally be somewhere in between.
