What are the forumites thoughts on a good short coming up?

May is still 8 day away, anything can happen till then. 1. Robert Mugabe could be ruling president of Zim 2. Banks could appreciate till then 3. Even John and Chartist could engage in one of their love quarrel..

in the last couple of years there was a general advance in most shares in the early part of the month,then follower by a fairly large retreat around the 15 of May.This year many shares are down already,how ever it is good to remember the US does not seem so interested in shares round this time.

sell in may and go away is a load of twaddle. Twain once said "October is a very dangerous month for the markets, but so is Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr ..." you get the picture.
