Since PNC is just below the 35% threshold, the next move is most probably going to be an offer to minorities. Datacentrix is ungeared, holds R200m net in cash on its balance sheet - or approximately 100cps, has just undergone a significant repositioning of its business with the accompanying investment which is yet to yield returns and is a nice cash generator. Besides the further diversification of its earnings streams, such an acquisition will significantly enhance PNC's rather stretched balance sheet. Depending on the swop ratio, a transcation should also be earnings accretive to PNC. Watch this space...
