Stop loss rule, of thumb, for all shares

Can anyone give me advice?

Try a multiple of the ATR (average trading range) say a multiple of 3, you can not have the same stop loss for all shares because their risks and trading ranges differ.

Thanks, have 12 different shares and have tried Alerts with the same percentage Stop Losses and it was not working.

stop loss is not a set %....where are the pivots, where is the swing low relative to entry, where is support and how do you place your stop outside the reach of the stop hunters. each trade must have a unique stop.
