TA trading software

Can anyone advise me what the TA software packages cost as a one off and also the montlhy download fees? Judging from previous threads with regard to the program itself it seems that the programs are pretty much similar in operation and is just a personal preference in terms of user friendliness. Why is instaquote so expensive? Thx forumites.

i would say go for Amibroker. gives you all you will need for a while, and is reasonably priced. best is to buy directly off net, as you save on the VAT. else from sharenet.co.za
can get daily downloads from sharenet too for just over R100
