Mr Sexwale's Mvela Holdings recently snapped up R600m Vox shares (at no discount to market prices!). Now he again leads a R50b takeover bid for Telkom. Is Vox Telecom going to become Vox Telkom? Mmmm....Vox's lucrative corporate market must be very appetising! Let's watch this space closely!

This could be interesting! Sexwale-consortium will most likely look at breaking up Telkom, given the insistence of distributing the Vodacom-stake. This should leave the old Telkom and perhaps will look at spinning off portions of Telkom i.e. internet to Vox or some kind of strategic deal. Dont think it will be a marriage of Vox and Telkom though. Anyway, holder of both so happy with any upside....

I went to the showcase recently. Will be interesting to see what happens with VOX, sounded like they are definately looking to grow marketshare and ultimately take Telkom on as the No1 player in voice communications. With Telkom talking about breaking up their asset space, VOX is surely on the road to reaching their goals.
