Online Share Trading will be upgrading its logon system on Wednesday 8 August 2007 at 18h00. As a result, our trading platform will be temporarily off line between 18h00 and 19h00 during this upgrade.
We apologise for this necessary inconvenience.
As part of the implementation of the new system our web address will be changing to securities.standardbank.co.za. If you have bookmarked the existing web address it will automatically be re-directed to the new website, which means you do not need to change any settings on your computer.
Using the old address will re-direct to the new site.
To ensure that you are visiting the correct website we always recommend that you click on the Online Share Trading log on link on the Standard Bank homepage, which is found at
www.standardbank.co.za.
The new system has been designed to remedy issues that you, our clients, have raised with us. The key benefits of the new system are:
Elimination of the 15-minute waiting period in the event that you disconnected without properly logging off;
A pop-up window that appears one minute before your session expires, after 15 minutes of inactivity, with an option to extend the session (similar to Standard Bank's Internet Banking); and
The ability to reset your own password at any time, should you forget it.
The new system should also eliminate the system stability issues that we have experienced in the past. We are very excited about this system upgrade and believe that it will make your experience of Online Share Trading even better.
To log on to the new system please use your existing username and password.
