that is not a top40 or alsi future, it is a futures contract on SATRIX. Not the same thing at all

satrix40 tracks the top40 ..

satrix bid/ask currently 2264/2290 with a spread of 24 or 1,1%. TOPI currently 22733/22742 with a spread of 11 or 0,04%. Now put a futures contract on Satrix and whatch the impact of the spread on your transaction cost. Not the same thing at all

hold on .. we're talking different things here .. is trading the stx40 the same as trading the alsi futures - no chance .. but does the satrix40 track the top40 perfectly - yes ..
