Africa accolades affirm Standard Bank Group’s leadership in key markets

We have been named best bank in four African countries in the prestigious Global Finance survey of the best emerging markets banks on the continent. Standard Bank Group has been named 2011’s best bank in South Africa, Namibia, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Global Finance (www.gfmag.com) is a leading international journal for banking and financial services. Its editors, along with industry analysts, corporate executives and banking consultants together selected the Africa winners. Criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products.
