Authenticate purchases in App instead of SMS OTP's

Will SBSA be adding transaction authentication to their app rather than relying on SMS's for OTP's?

Customers should be given the choice to either receive an OTP via SMS or authenticate their purchase using the SBSA App.

Using the app to authenticate is far more secure and helps prevents SIM swap fraud etc.

FNB now offer this feature as well as a number of Europrean banks.
