How do i get the apparently free mcafee anti virus offered by standard bank? Avg failed to remove them!! :-( now i cant do any work, cant open any word documents, nothing!

Can also get free McAfee if you're with MWeb. If you bank with Stranded, there's a link after login to download - found that McAfee was chewing my processor so removed it.
Downside with free AVG version is to remember twice a day (at minimum) to rightclick and "Update Now", else you'll have an out of date version and be caught out

Rather go with Kaspesrsky or Avast.

A lot of the so called adware or malware cannot be removed by antivirus. Download spybot free for those. You wont believe the number actually on your computer.

Use AVAST - better than Norton and others. I had Norton, but it did not delete the source of boot viruses, although it found the symptom. AVAST is also free ! Better than AVG
