I'd hardly say its "flying" more likely - the dollar is just collapsing. The Rand price of gold is still squeezing - need a close about R77 on GLD.

We broke an all time high earlier and formed a strong support at 985. I say its very positive!

Gold/Dollar correlation needs to diverge, but (without being a Gold perma bull) there are rumour-based indications that we may be getting there e.g. Speculative Reports on MarketWatch.com that dollar based oil trading no longer favoured...

5 Oct NY Comex Gold Up 1.35% to $1016.70 6 Oct NY Comex Gold Up 2.15% to $1038.60 7 Oct Spot Gold Up 0.78$ to $1046.73 Gold 'Normally' does not rally like this.. Although the USD is screwed up, Gold should not be affected that much.. Either which way we have much more sellers than buyers.. so im pretty sure we in for a drop in gold before we test $1065...
