If I want to invest in IT, (a) do I go for the big US companies (b) are ZA IT Companies anything other than inventory movers with a mark-up? (c) What is the Southern African growth prospects in the IT sector?

There was a massive drive to create "electronic money" that will allow you to pay for things with your cellphone and use it like a wallet. It seems to have faded. What is happening in IT woth this process and could a bank like Capitec with hightech infrastructure implement something like this?

Companies still see the IT department as an overhead, an expense. It is very difficult for IT to show what they save a company or how they contribute to the bottom line. Why is it that the HR department gets great treatment, but the IT department not? Should IT professional not be treated for what they are, IT Professionals? Is it time for an IT union?
