Interesting activity on STX40

I watched the closing auction closely yesterday. I saw one seller selling about 900k plus worth of STX40. This caused the STX40 to close + 3% down on the day. I had a look after the fact and saw one buyer baught the bulk of the shares at 1c more than the sell price. Today the price went up by the same 3% seeing as the Top40 shares was only down about 0.6%. Now this is what I am thinking, this is a cool way of quicly making a guaranteed 3%, sell it down to yourself at the auction and when the market opens and SATRIX makes the market you immediately have a guaranteed 3%. Is this possible? Surely not?

and if someone else outbids you in the auction? Then you lose your 3% to some other lucky soul.
