Simon or anybody please explain MTM prices on SSF. Example old Mutual the MTM price last night (22nd) at 20h00 was 1254 (ulying 1223) which does not make sense since the u lying share closed at 1322 the MTM price this morning is 1354 which looks fine. The problem with the big difference between yesterday and today is that the daily profit column (on my portfolio) looks like there has been a huge profit and yet the underlying share has hardly moved.

the offical MTM is a JSE ccreated number, and in reality of zero importance .. when the market is open and hence you'll be buying or sellign we value off bid or offer whhich is a true reflection ..

Thanks Simon i realise its of zero importance only pity is that it skews the daily profit figure on the "my portfolio page" which would be a nice gauge but actually means nothing.
