Stupidity... or not?

Why would ayone in his sound mind at this stage capitulate and sell small lots (1000 shares) at a price below private placement level? Today is an example, yesterday the better example. This beats me to such an extent that I am reinforced in my opinion that there are people like myself, other people, traders (read: skelms) and alians on the market.

emotions rule the majority of investors-some peole get scared and accept a small loss rather than gamble on a gain or a bigger loss-fear rules here. The placement price was quite a good one for the company I think

As a new listing... Unless investors start to show an appetite soon after listing (ie. drive the price higher,) the share can go into a protracted downtrend. This can continue until some fundamental event that establishes pricing parameters.

Seemingly stop loss settings triggered sales. Thanks for responses. having bought in at R5 the holders could stabilize the picture by just sitting tight. Why bother to subscribe (private placement!) and sell at a loss straight away?

The seller/s did not necessarily subscribe at the R5 listing price, they might have shorted the share?

Help me understand this please. (0,734xawb)+(0,374xawa)= +/- R5.23 currently. Add the div payment plus 1 month special div gives selling price of R 5.5 plus?
