for gaps, no, for day trading, if you are not 50pts in the money at 3.30 and again at 4.30, best you exit your trade, or the volatility on the open will take you out

yes. When you are dealing with 50pt stoplosses, the opening of the ftse can move the index 100pts in an instant

but why do you want to exit ??? the volatility could be in the direction of your trade ?? and if it isn't, then you have a stop loss ??
