Strange that with "value" & "bargain @ this price" in everybodys conversation...other than the 1 minute traders.....little or no M&A activity being announced or reported on....not all gorilla companies are distressed, surely this is the ideal time to take out pesky competitors....maybe they waiting for "bargain + 10% discount for cash"...or are they going to do their shopping at the knackers yard.....latest is that the IMF is going to need a bailout package of its own, FLOL....link: http://seekingalpha.com/article/107233-imf-needs-its-own-rescue-package-now?source=yahoo

good one YNWA. Yep, and no IPO's over there lately either. I think those co's who have strong balance sheets are holding their cash under the matras. Them's all going into hibernation mode for a while as no use producing if no one's buying. I'm looking for recession beater stocks. Reckon the cash retailers who sell cheap food clothes are bout the best bet for a while no? Won't be surprised if PEP ends up with a bigger balance sheet than Edgars or even Stutties

Correct YNWA, the co's that planned for the long term are now in the position to buy their less prudent competitors on the cheap. As they say, when there's blood in the street......
