All about the prize

Seven nights for two in the Seychelles valued at approximately R40 000! Sounds incredible, doesn’t it?, This fantastic prize includes two return economy class flights on Air Seychelles (excluding airport taxes), airport and hotel transfers and seven nights’ accommodation at the four star Coral Strand Hotel (bed and breakfast). You can also enjoy two excursions to Mahe and Praslin Island on us, with a return ferry transfer and a delicious lunch! This prize is valid for one year from date of issue of the prize letter and excludes all items not listed above.

How to enter

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

- Be a South African citizen or a permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa
- Be 18 years or older
- Hold or open a Prestige Banking transactional account with Standard Bank
- Your account must be in good standing at the time of the lucky draw
- Activate your account during the competition period by depositing your salary into your account
- Swipe your cheque card at least 3 times during the competition period

*Cash withdrawals, buying travellers’ cheques, and buying casino chips are excluded for the purposes of this competition.

That’s it. Once you have met the above requirements, you will automatically receive one entry into the competition. To receive an additional entry, all you have to do is successfully register for our UCount Rewards programme during the competition period. If you are already a member of UCount Rewards at the time of the lucky draw, you will also receive an additional entry. You may not, unfortunately enter this competition more than once.

The lucky draw

Will we be pulling your name out in the lucky draw? The winner will be chosen in February 2014 at 30 Baker Street, Rosebank in Johannesburg. A representative of the Prestige Banking team will notify the winner within 15 days of the lucky draw; so best keep your phone close-by.

A prize letter will then be sent to the winner with all of the booking information and competition details. This incredible prize will then become available to the winner within 15 business days thereafter. The winner and their chosen partner must jet off to the rolling waves and sandy beaches of the Seychelles within 1 year of the date stipulated on the prize letter.

Things to note

The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited is the promoter of this competition. We, our directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners or associates are not eligible to participate in or enter this competition.

All information relating to this competition, including information on our website, and any other promotional material, forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. By entering this competition, all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. No entry will be considered valid until a validation process has taken place.

This prize is not transferrable and if for any reason, we are unable to get in touch with the selected prize winner within 12 months, a separate lucky draw will take place for another entrant. In the event of a dispute, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition and no correspondence will be entered into. We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another prize of similar commercial value. We are not liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.

We reserve the right to publish the winner’s name and photograph in any advertising, promotional, print, point of sale or public relations material for a period of 12 months from the date of the lucky draw.

If required by the Minister for Trade and Industry, the National Consumer Commission or for whatever other reason, we will have the right to terminate this competition with immediate effect and without notice of such termination. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights, which they may have against us and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants.
