Standard Bank down

I don't know what's going on with Standard Bank!!  Extremely frustrating when I have to borrow money from friends so that I can put petrol in my car.  ATMs, POS and internet banking NOT WORKING!!  What is going on??????  It would be nice if the bank actually alerted it's customers to the problems and what it is doing to fix the problem!!!

Please be advised that our customers had been experiencing acceptance issues with our cards at point of sale and ATM facilities yesterday. Kindly note that our support teams have attended to the matter and all our card and ATM services have been fully restored. I am very angry, It takes me 1hour and 20 min to get to my nearest town. went yesteday afternoon to do some shopping at Spar, load my trollie up, standing in line got to teller, unpack, teller ringing up, and card declined, standading there like a fool, people look at you. Had to leave the teller (waiting for me) went to the nearest Standardbank ATM no luck, went to other bank ATM's no luck. Had to drive all that way back home with no groceries. Petrol waisted, besides other things blood boiling, shouted at the wife and kids etc etc. THANKS STANDARDBANK. Now I wonder if I drive all that way again today am I going to have the same problem, what if I have an emergency and I need to pay ????.
