Please be advised that you are able to upgrade your account and still keep your details. Please be advised that for this purpose, you will need to visit your nearest branch with your ID Booklet/Passport and Proof of Residence in order to be assisted with the upgrade.

I would like to upgrade to cheque account account, but the problem i had was the fact that the account number will also change. last time i went to the bank i was told that Standard bank was working on that and that soon when you change to cheque account your account number will not change. I was wondering if now at standard bank you are able to upgrade without having your account number changed.
