What are the general thoughts on Absa's acquisition of the Woolworths financial services?

Wait for 20 min and will find out! I didn't see a reason why Delta and North west had to sell off so heavily last night, so anything is possible. OIL is expensive...that should have been priced in already!

absa only bought 50% i think woolies wanted someone with experience in the field to run this opertion, if they only sold 50% it tells me that the bussiness model is viable but they dont know how to run it profitably, any thoughts.

I would have to agree. Dont think I am going to dabble in ASA as a result of this purchase alone
