Simon - on closing auction how is it possible that a share can drop 2.5%. Take MPC today traded all day above 2700 at 17h00 was at 2770 then after close drops to 2690 . Somebody scores big time?

Shares can go up or down any time of the day and mpc only .74% down for the day.Basically this is how it works: The auction price is the price with the maximum executable volume. Additionally the minimum surplus, the market pressure and, if necessary, the reference price are taken into account when establishing the auction price.
