Unfortunately, they do not not allow walk-ins. You are required to use their webiste for application and bookings.

I would like find out if we can physically go to Standard Bank and make a booking there in person?

I had an appointment this moring at 9am. Got there at 8.30 only to be told that they are offline.

Waited until 11 and had to leave as i had to go to work. so frustrating

I have made a booking for my passport and ID biometrics for the 10th of March at the Kingsmead Standard Bank branch. 

 

I will be travelling from far and would like to know if the Kingsmead home affairs bank branch is operational. I have seen many comments saying they cannot provide the service.

 

Please confirm if they will be able to assist me. Please also provide the correct address.

The issue has been raised and is constantly seeking clarification and assistance.

 

They are looking into the issue, and once it has been resolved, the changes will show on the DoHA.

 

You are also welcome to visit DoHA offices for biomatrices and photo bookings.

I need you to ALSO take up the issue with Home Affairs and if YOU can't offer the service YOU should STOP it. Don't mislead us that this service is available with your Kingsmead Bank Branch in Durban when it is NOT.

We totally understand how frustrating this must be.

 

Please note that the issue with DoHA and their booking processes

 

Kindly do not select specific dates you want to visit the branch for bookings; check which dates are not low-lighted and have bookings.

 

If the issue continues, the query will have to be taken up with Home Affairs directly.

BTW I would seriously have opened an account with the other bank (FNB), if I had known Standard Bank was non-operational in terms of providing bookings to have biometrics taken. It would be way easier to do that than stand endlessly at the DHA. I will tell everyone that I can that they must NOT use Standard Bank Kingsmead (and may be Standard Bank in general. Not sure if it works in other provinces or not) to get their passport and ID done because the system DOES NOT WORK.

I tried inputting the date in various ways but it still did not work. Please can you provide an example of how it should be written. In the interim some other system needs to be devised to make bookings. This can't continue endlessly! Especially since other banks in Durban are able to provide bookings quickly and passports thereafter within 3 weeks!

We are aware of the time slot issue, which has been raised with DOAH.

 

Under the DOAH website when looking for booking slots

 

You will be required to enter the dates manually and not have the information auto-populated.

 

Once done, dates should be available.

 

Please let us know if you are still having issues with booking slots so we can investigate it.

Good day, we have paid for our passports and selected kingsmead std bank as the choice for the photos biometrics and collection.

However, we cannot obtain a scheduled date because the date preset and when we select the range it says no available times slots.

 

May someone from std bank urgently advise.

I have visited the Kingsmead Branch today and was informed that for the past 3 weeks they have not been accepting any booking and are not sure when they will be accepting new bookings, I was again given the "tip" to type in the dates and not use the calendar, which obviously does not work anymore. I asked about the payment which was already made and received a laugh and an "I don't know". On top of the R600 Passport fee, we as Standard Bank Customers already pay high monthly fees, with the hopes that innovative technologies like this would be to our benefit! Unfortunately, we are just being robbed and NO ONE is able to help us. 

 

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE FROM STANDARD BANK ASSIST!

I have been trying for almost a month to get a booking at the Kingsmead branch in Durban for my passport biometrics. Each time I try to book a date at the branch, none are available (and my date ranges on the system span 1 month).

I only have 60 days after the application to complete the biometrics which I submitted 27 October 2022.

It's impossible to get a booking at any of the nearby Home Affairs branches. If you go to the branch without a booking, you'll wait there for the entire day and still you won't get any assistance.

I've tried all the tips and tricks to securing a booking at Kingsmead but still I have been unsuccessful. I've manually wrote the dates in the columns, logged onto the system after 6am and I had a wide date range.

The biometrics are extremely important to completing the application. If it's not done before the end of December then the application will be nullified and money would have been wasted.

Is there any possibility that I can walk into the Kingsmead branch without a formal booking? If I walk in without a booking will I be attended too?

Did anyone else here walk into Kingsmead without a booking and did you manage to complete your biometrics at the branch?

Good morning Sir,

 

I am not understanding your response regarding the fact that you "facilitate the payment process" for DHA.  ALL Standard Banks process payments for DHA, but your branch (Kingsmead) is spcifically listed on the DHA website as a biometric processing facility for them.

 

So the question is:  do you have a DHA office in your branch, or don't you?  If not, which Standard Bank in Durban DOES have a DHA office in it please?

 

I have someone in Durban that needs to go to a branch to process the biometrics for their ID application, and I need to be able to give them accurate information please.

ID and Passport applications are processed on the home affairs website.

 

We only facilitate the payment process and then you visit any of our participating branches for biometrics and collection.

 

Please visit the home affairs page at: dha.gov.za.

 

The bank branches are also listed on the website.

 

You can check from 3 - 6 weeks in advance for available dates.
