Good morning, @jj8.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

The assurance premium on your home loan statement is an additional fee that covers insurance protection for your home loan.

It typically provides coverage for unforeseen events such as disability, death, or involuntary unemployment, ensuring that your mortgage payments are covered in such circumstances. This insurance offers peace of mind by safeguarding your financial obligations associated with your home loan.

If you have any further questions or need clarification on the coverage details, feel free to reach out to your mortgage provider for more information.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts on this information.

Regards,

Standard Bank Team

I need to find out. On my home loan statement there is an assurance premium that appears on my home loan statement every month.

What is it for and what does it covers.
